Teamsters Local 783 was chartered on July 12, 1937 under the formal name of Teamsters Local Union No. 783.
The Local represents approximately 2,500 members in Louisville, Kentucky and surrounding counties in Kentucky, Indiana and even some shops located in Tennessee.
